Classic Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” Returns to Stage
Scrooge returns to the stage tomorrow as The Ute Repertory Theatre Company presents its annual Christmas Holiday Production, now in its 8th year.
The yuletide classic “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens will be performed on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m at the historic Ute Theater in downtown Saguache.
Come and support the cast of 30 local actors, representing nearly 40 characters as they tell the tale of a bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge. The Saguache thespians will act out Scrooge’s transformation into a gentler, kindlier man after visitations by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.!
Admission is $5 for ages 11 & up; children under age 10 FREE!
The Ute Repertory Theatre Company (a non-profit company) supports itself through ticket sales, fundraising, donations, and grants. Please contribute to the success of this theatre company. For information on how to donate: LINK.
The Ute theater also offers a “Pub & Bistro” style menu for dinner, including some gluten-free items: from a thin, hand-tossed artisan pizza, to HUGE calzones, or try their wedge salad with some antipasto. Be sure to compliment your meal with a nice glass of wine from Vino Salida or a local amber from the San Luis Valley Brewing Company. You can check out their full menu and hours of operation: HERE.
