Saguache Works Owner Featured Chamber Speaker
On Tuesday, Feb. 2 come hear Marge Hoglin share her experiences with the Saguache Chamber of Commerce audience about the founding of Saguache Works and the evolution of the nonprofit’s various enterprises. This special presentation will be held at at 6 p.m. at the Saguache County Road & Bridge building at 305 3rd Street.
Hoglin and her former business partner, Lindy McDaniel, purchased the two dilapidated and mostly empty downtown buildings, at 404-406 4th Street in downtown Saguache in May 2012. They founded Saguache Works to further community revitalization efforts, stimulate economic development, promote healthy lifestyles and preserve traditional arts. The Welcome Center opened in September of that year; then BEBOP Studio, Blue Earth Thrift & Mercantile, and the 4th Street Food Store followed.
Several additional projects have been launched, and McDaniel has since moved away.
Come and listen to Hoglin’s story. The past, present, and future for Saguache Works and the rest of the enterprise. There will be a gift certificate for the lucky winner at a drawing at the end of our meeting. Please contact the Chamber firstname.lastname@example.org or call Barry at 719-322-7298 if you have any questions about this meeting or if you’d like to know more about the Chamber Speaker Program.
