Bee Aware . . . About Tonight’s Library Program
While it might be a few more weeks before they return with the spring flowers, bees will be the topic of tonight’s Friends of the Saguache Library program. Scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight, “The Importance of Bees” will be presented by local bee expert Don Baker who will share his 40 plus years of Bee Keeping knowledge.

Did you know that there are around 25,000 different types of bee species? Did you know that these furry stingers are responsible for pollinating about one-sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide and approximately 400 different agricultural types of plant? Remarkable!
Come and learn all about the different bees in the valley and what they do for us. This program will have folks buzzing about these fascinating, hard-working creatures.
Then plan to stick around after and enjoy some finger foods provided by the Friends of the Library. Come taste things you can make using honey!
