Get Down Valley at The Monte Vista Sock Hop
How do you feel about dancing in the streets? Like the idea?
Then head down valley to Monte Vista this Saturday, June 11 for the 2nd annual Sock Hop and Burger Fry. The fun starts at 7:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Adams Street. The Blue Rooster band will be getting people up on their feet with their rocking tunes from the 50s and so much more.
Blue Rooster began in Crestone in 2014. They’ve developed a strong Blues, R n B and Funk style with lots of drive and traditional groove. Recently they began incorporating some early 60’s British Rock, and it is FUN stuff to do. All members have been playing professionally for many years in a number of different bands. The band’s unofficial motto is, “If you can’t have a blast doing it – don’t do it!”
Word on the street is that you’re likely to see some cool old hot rods in town too!
