When summertime finally arrives, by the time Tuesday hits, most folks are already thinking about their weekend plans! There’s always so much to do and see.Barbecue_VillaGrove_Saguache Today

This weekend you can enjoy some great barbecue and help raise some money for a good cause. On Saturday, June 25 is the annual Villa Grove/Bonanza Fire Department Fundraiser. It’s an all-day shindig starting at 8 a.m. with vendors and a sumptuous Bake Sale. Then as the day moves on there will be BBQ beef sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst and salads for sale, all reasonably priced from 5 – 15 bucks.

Attendees can also take advantage of the Silent Auction from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with lots of local goodies for the offering. And it’s all for a good cause, helping the community protect itself in case of a fire.
