spacerWhile the Town Trustees have not yet made a decision regarding the purchase of the Dunn Block (Mason Building) there will be a presentation of information and research on the proposed purchase followed by community discussion. Recent town meetings indicate that the Town Trustees are considering bringing the issue to a vote of the people in early 2017. It is important that the Citizens of the Town of Saguache learn more about the purchase grant from History Colorado and what the Town has in mind.

This is your chance as a citizen to be heard and give input to what you feel is important.

Some citizens have already weighed in on social media including the following comments for those readers who don’t connect via Facebook. Here are some of those opinions:

Liza Marron I won’t be able to attend the meeting, but I believe this is a beautiful historic building with much possibility and I know the aging Mason’s can no longer take care of it. I would like to see it preserved and possibly owned by the Town if we can afford it. It could be used for community needs/economic development purposes. I know there is grant money involved to help with the purchase. It is the upkeep and monthly expenses we have to take into consideration.spacer
