News from Northern Saguache County Library District
The Friends of The Library continue with their Used Book Sale this weekend and there are still some literary treasures to be found. The sale continues today and Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., with extended hours this last, Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The sale is located at the historic Masonic Lodge located at San Juan and 4th Street in downtown Saguache. The proceeds from this Used Book Sale will benefit the Northern Saguache County Library District, which includes branches in Crestone (Baca-Grande) and in the town of Saguache on Pitkin Avenue.
The Friends of the Saguache Library meet monthly on the second Friday of each month at 10:45 a.m. at the Saguache Public Library. Everyone is welcome. The Friends of the Library hold several fundraisers throughout the year, including selling their World Famous Root Beer Floats at various town celebrations, partnering with the Library District for the annual community appreciation pig roast dinner, and organizing and running the annual Holiday Bazaar. The Friends of the Baca Grande Library meet monthly on the second Friday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Crestone Town Hall. Everyone is welcome. The Friends of the Library hold several fundraisers throughout the year, including selling Root Beer Floats at the Fourth of July celebration and holding their very popular Tax Day Chocolate Bake Sale.
