911 Memorial Ceremony Still on for Sunday, Sept. 11
The Saguache Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its annual 911 Memorial Ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11. According to Sergeant Tyrel Maez with the Saguache County Sheriff’s Department and SVFD crew member, this special annual 911 commoration will go on this Sunday, albeit slightly different.
Since the Ute Theater is not open this season, the Sagauche Volunteer Fire Department will begin and end the loop run from the fire house located at 330 Denver Ave. The emergency vehicle procession will start at 6 p.m., returning to the fire house for a meaningful ceremony. The public is invited and encouraged to attend or take a moment at some point on September 11 to remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
