First Snow of Season Finds Way Into Saguache Today
The school year is in full swing and the students at Mountain Valley Schools (MVS) have been busy with studies and learning. The younger kids had fun at a nearby Pumpkin Patch. As for the older students it was learning out in the filed at Arches National Park in Utah. Check out their video postcard thanks to the MVS Social Media Enrichment Class.
In other school news . . . Tonight, Thursday, Oct. 6 is the schools’ FREE community dinner/parent engagement night beginning at 5 p.m. Presentations will be from 5:30 – 6:30, every 15 minutes with topics including the growth mindset, Alpine Achievers Initiative, Booster Club/PeeWee Sports, online grades, and school finance. An added incentive for those attending tonight, you will be entered into a drawing for a free dinner and movie for two at The Village Pub and Cozy Castle Cinema. For every presentation you attend, you will be given another entry into the drawing.
There are also several sports events for the football and volleyball team sthis weekend. The MVS and their local Booster Club wiull also benefit from this Saturday’s MVS 5K Ghoulish Run, as part of Alferd Packer Day in Saguache. Regeistration proceeds will support MVS student council.
