New Cell Tower Proposed Near Saguache Today
VIAERO Wireless is proposing to construct a new wireless cell tower, so here is your chance to express your opinions and concerns regarding the application.
According to Alan Covelli, Viaero Wireless Site Acquisition Coordinator the proposed telecommunications facility would be located in a part of the Southeast ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 21, Township 47 North, Range 2 East of the 6th New Mexico Principal Meridian, in Saguache County off of Highway 114 and County Road 14PP. Around N.Lat. 38° 18’ 41.1”/ W. Long. 106° 45’ 36.3”. Here is a link to a map of the proposed tower site: MAP
The new facility will consist of an 80-Foot Self-Supporting Tower.

It would be located near the northwest edge of Cochetopa Park approximately 2 miles north of the Saguache County Building (the one with the CDOT camera). The proposed site lies north and east of Highway 114 and would probably be built and accessed via County Road 14PP.
