Girl Scouts Postpone Trip to Savannah Until 2018

Due to circumstances beyond their control, the Saguache Girl Scouts have had to postpone their trip to Georgia that they had hope to make this May 2017. The group is still committed to making the trek to the birthplace of the Girl Scouts of America, Savannah GA, however the trip had to be re-scheduled until May 2018, one year later.

These beautiful picnic tables can be enjoyed at Otto Mears Park thanks to the Saguache Girl Scouts. They were made as part of a Silver Award project in the summer of 2016. Stay tuned for more great programs you can be a part of in Saguache Today.

As a result of this change, their upcoming fundraisers, including the one scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, April 1 has been canceled.

The troop wants to thank everyone for their support and let the community know they will still be active this summer with new projects, so stay tuned for more Girl Scouts news.

Also, if you’ve already finished off your boxes of Girl Scout cookies, you’re in luck, because they still have a few on hand for those who may have missed out or need to re-stock!

Those interested in assisting or for anyone who wants cookies or has other questions, please contact Crystal Gillette-Knight at 515-783-5175 or by email: saguachegs@gmail.com. Donations can also be made to GIRL SCOUT Troop 32659, PO Box 406, Saguache, CO 81149.
