Saguache Sagebrush Quilters Meet Saturday
The Saguache Sagebrush Quilters are being called to gather this Saturday, Apr. 29 at 10 a.m. in the Community Room at Saguache County Road and Bridge located at 305 5th Street.
It’s April project time, but keep in mind that table space could be limited due to the Saguache 9Health Fair taking place in town on the same day and some of the tables will be over at the school for that event. But the good news is you can get a “twofer” out of your travels into town and come to both!
The Dutchman’s puzzle block that the group is leanring and creating for Fall Festival 2018 is available for your sewing pleasure – the fabric and the instructions are provided. It is a design from the 1880s and the process taught provides a simple way to create flying geese units. Two iorning boards and irons will be available for your pressing needs.
Mary Robbins will show a sample and a listing yardage abd supplies neede to learn how to creat ethe design called Mariner’s Campass. This will be the project for May’s meeting.
Saguache Sagebrush Quilters is a grass-roots group bringing together people who enjoy fabric and learning about this Americana heritage skill. All level of sewers are welcome. Contact Lynn Ertle at 719-580-9146 or by email: email@example.com.
Quilt members wish to thank the public for all their support in so many ways. Proceeds from ticket sales for the quilt drawing help to defray the cost of hosting their annual retreat. Donations of fabric are also greatly appreciated and some of these fabrics are used to make “comfort” quilts which are given to community members who may need some comfort at certain times.
