Customers at the 4th Street Food Store will be treated to free samples and free gift cards next week, May 3 – 4, in exchange for participating in a brief survey.

The survey, conducted for the Colorado Fresh Food Financing Fund (CO4F), will ask questions about what foods you buy at the 4th Street Food Store and how important it is to you to access healthy foods.
Funding received from CO4F in 2014 helped Saguache Works expand its nonprofit food store and create, in partnership with the San Luis Valley Local Foods Coalition, a Valley-wide distribution system for local foods. The Valley Roots Food Hub has been in operation since last May and delivers fresh produce, eggs, cheese and meats to the 4th Street Food Store every Friday.
Professionals from the Sarah Samuels Center for Public Health Research & Evaluation will conduct the 10-minute interviews with store patrons. Information gained will help store personnel to better meet your needs.
Assorted healthy snacks, and special treats prepared by volunteers, will be available from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. both days as an incentive for your participation, and as a token of appreciation for your support during the past two years.
