Friday Night Star Gazing Opportunity

There’s a certain appreciation for star-gazing that exists in @Saguache Today. Maybe it’s because there are just soooo many of them to see at night, thanks to the lack of light pollution in the San Luis Valley.

So if you often find your gaze upward into the night’s sky, then tonight’s the night to join others at Joyful Journey Hot Springs for a presentation by Chris Corl entitled, “ Venus Retrograde: Astrology Circle.

According to event organizers, the goddess of love herself now begins her descent into the intimate and soulful depths  at the heart of Scorpion  This is a sacred time. A time to allow love to make its way deeper in through your defenses, a time to release  those old heartbreaks  and the destructive patterns  that protect them  a time to re-invoke the truest dreams of your heart’s deep desire

Ring in Summer in a “Joyful” Way

This week the seasons will turn and summer will officially appear on the calendar. So if you’re looking to ring in the Summer Solstice with some reflection and personal growth, then Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa is the place to be this week!

Located in the San Luis Valley, Joyful Journey is hosting their Second Annual Inner Vision Conference this week, June 21 – 25. This year’s theme is “Transitions,” featuring speakers programs and music which will help you access, educate and apply tools to assist you on your journey. The Inner Vision Conference begins on Wednesday, June 21 and 6 – 9 p.m. with the Summer Solstice celebration and drum circle in the new labyrinth.

Thursday features a showing of National Geographic’s “Gender Revolution” followed by “Getting in Touch with your Inner Gender” presented by Eric Attard, Behavioral Health Consultant and Counselor. On Friday, mingle and mix during Wine and Cheese Social, featuring local lines before enveloping yourself in a “A Sound Gathering for Inner Peace” with Pamela Hughes.

On Saturday, June 25, explore our Outdoor Marketplace and gain insight from a variety of speakers. The evening’s highlight at 7 p.m. is a special concert featuring Peter May’s Sonic Apothecary an extraordinary combination of nature and music.

The week wraps up on Sunday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to noon with a closing ceremony led by The Reverend Marguita Oliver.

Inner Vision Conference Joyful JourneySome events are free and ticket prices vary. Here are those details. Wednesday’s Solstice Ceremony is free. Tickets for Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23 are $15. Saturday’s $25 price includes the All-Day lineup and evening concert. Sunday’s closing ceremony and entrance to the Outdoor Market are free. Hot Springs GM Next Saguache Chamber Speaker 

Next Tuesday, Feb. 7, Theo Boudreaux, General Manager at Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa  will be the featured speaker for the popular Saguache Chamber Speaker Program. The evening starts at 6 p.m. at the County Road & Bridge at 305 3rd. St. in Saguache.

The Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa has been a famous location in the San Luis Valley for many years. Joyful Journey offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from gorgeous hotel rooms with private bathrooms and aspen-wood furniture, to native tipis, RV and camp sites, and yurts – the round canvas buildings.

Water rises from the travertine springs at between 120 and 145 degrees and feeding into three different pools. There are various spa services, and an event center available on site as well.
